The conference is organized by:

Polish Academy of Sciences – Committee of Crop Production,

Polish Society for Agronomy – Warsaw Division

and Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

The occasion is 100th anniversary of establishment of Department of Agriculture in Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).

 

 

The conference is organized under patronage of the

Rector Prof. Alojzy Szymański

and

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Dr. Marek Sawicki.

 

The aim of the conference is strengthening the awareness in society about the importance of agriculture as an activity which combines the production, ecology economy and social objectives. For members of Polish Society for Agronomy and scientific agricultural society the conference will be forum for discussion and exchange of new scientific achievements in agronomy.

 

The conference will cover following topics:

    Polish agriculture towards globalization, climatic changes and CAP

  Biological basis of productivity of crops, interactions: genotype – environment – crop management

  Development and innovations in crop production technology for food, biofuels; integrated production systems; security and quality of food

  Farming systems, organic agriculture, and conservation tillage. Workshop: precision agriculture – methods for evaluation of soil and crop spatial variability

  Environmental effects of agricultural production, biodiversity conservation, tackling climate changes and development of agricultural areas

  Educational session: future of agricultural education, National Qualifications Framework, innovations in teaching methods (e-learning)
